Karen Dammann of the First United Methodist church in Ellensburg, WA wrote a letter to her bishop saying that she was a lesbian living with her lover. The Book of Discipline for the Methodist church forbids practicing homosexuals from serving as ministers. The trial is underway in Bothel. Dammann was married to her lover in Portland last week.
