Great nod to MapQuest in his quip about NASA going to Mars instead of the Moon first. He may be a quirky guy peddling science to kids, but he is also an Engineer (B.S. Cornell) who studied under Carl Sagen and worked for Boeing for a while. He also made the suggestion of putting sundials on the Mars probes to calibrate their clocks. Read the article.
